Good evening blog friends!  So, I’m sitting at my computer drawing a blank as to what I should write about.  You may be thinking, “then why are you writing?”  Well, I’m trying to blog on a regular basis so that I don’t annoy you when you check my blog and there are no new posts.  I know most of you are very technical people and just wait for your “feed” or subscription email to alert you when I post a new entry.  However, some of you are more like me and have a list of bookmarks on your computer of all the blogs that you like to read.  I go through my list of bookmarked blogs once or twice daily just to see if by chance one of my precious friends have written an entertaining story for me to read.  I know this is an inefficient way to read blogs (and says a lot about how I use my time) but I do pride myself in my ineffeciencies (sometimes).  Just kidding.

Anyway, the other reason that I am trying to write a blog is because I am procrastinating cleaning my house.   Well, actually it’s the cleaning before the cleaning.  You see, when you are the mother of three boys and one adult son (that’s Big Daddy) you earn the right (and I’m spoiled) to pay someone to clean your house.  So tomorrow morning the cleaning ladies will arrive but tonight I have to do all the prep cleaning in order for them to clean tomorrow.  I know that not one single man will understand this but all of the ladies are with me.  I also have to leave my house at 7:30am in the morning so really I need to have everything ready tonight.  So, I’m procrastinating.

I know, I’m ridiculous, and really I’m writing about nothing, but please humor me.  Tonight, the keyboard is the black leather couch (and I’m lying down) and you guys are the shrink.  So here are some other random thoughts in my head:

~ I got a new front door today and I love it!  Well, actually it’s not new.  It’s from the 1950’s and we had it re-finished.  It has sort of a mid-century modern look.  We love it.  It’s kind of unique! I tried to take some pictures of it but the boys kept opening the door!

~ I just realized what a salad spinner is for.  I always thought, “why would anyone buy a salad spinner, who cares if theIr salad has been spun?”  Then last night as I was preparing the most delicious salad ever, I was struggling to get the lettuce that I had thoroughly washed (I’m a little anal about clean food) dry.  Then all of a sudden it came to me.  Is this what the salad spinner is for?  I rushed to my laptop and googled salad spinner.  What do you know!  The salad spinner dries the lettuce!  I’ve found the one I’m going to purchase at Target as soon as my husband lifts my spending ban.    Yes, I am a real blonde.  The roots have just gotten darker over the years (which I think means I’ve gotten smarter)!

~I do try hard to be a good wife.  So, today I planned our Friday morning adventure.  We will get up on Friday at 6am and get dressed.  We will leave our house at 6:45am and get breakfast in a drive-through/donut shop, etc.  We will then escort my loving husband to the Apple Store and stand in line with him so that he can be the first to purchase the new iPhone when the doors open at 8am.  Now, we could send him alone but NO, we are a loving supporting family and we will stand with him on his special day together!  Just call us dorks!

~Today, while talking with a co-worker at the office I somehow jabbed my finger through the lace on my shirt and ripped a big hole on the front of the shoulder of my lace blouse!  I then got to wear it with a big hole in it the rest of the day.  I should keep my hands in my pockets when talking, I’m dangerous!

~I really think someone should invent a patch for those addicted to Diet Coke and trying to quit.  I’m telling you people you could be rich!  For now, I’ve switched to caffeine free Diet Coke.  Less of a buzz, but same dose of cancer from the aspartame!  Oh well!

I think this is enough randomness for now.  If you’ve made it to the end of this post I’m impressed.  It’s a pretty strange one!
