I would like to take this opportunity to thank Holly Peterson for bestowing upon me (and like 8 other women) the Honest Blog award.  I feel so honored and special to be classified with such a great crowd of bloggers!  I mean, I’ve never gotten an award with 8 other people before.  This is definitely something I thought would never happen to me.  I’m holding back the tears.  Enough of the sappy speech and now on to the point of the award.

10 Honest Things About Me:

1 ) I really really like to laugh and sometimes my attempts at humor are understood by no one but myself (and are self-admittedly pretty sad attempts).  That’s ok, as long as I think I’m hilarious and I’m laughing that’s all that matters, right?. 

2 ) I like to sing all songs (even rap) in a really annoying opera voice.  My husband hates this honest fact about me.  He calls it “making fun of songs.”  I can’t help it though and I think there’s an uncontrollable force that comes over me and forces out the opera sound.  You would know we were REALLY good friends if I did this in front of you!

3 ) My husband is the only man (or boy for that matter) that I’ve ever kissed.  It’s kind of embarrassing actually but he was so proud when he found out and not that many people know so I thought I’d mention it!  And don’t ever ask about the first kiss.  It was so awful!  I was so scared, embarrassed and freaking out!  I literally asked him why he had his tongue in my mouth!!  I know, what a little angel I used to be!  Yeah, four kids later. . . can’t really say the same!

4 ) I like to tell my husband on a regular basis that he’s my most favorite husband I’ve ever had.  I know, how silly! (if you don’t know me personally, he’s my only husband, hence the silly part)

5 ) I tell each of my children they are my favorite.  I am very sneaky and don’t do it in front of the others and always make sure I use their name (You’re my favorite Parker, You’re my favorite Ayden,  You’re my favorite Griffin, etc) so as not to tell a lie!

6 ) I don’t like birds.  They freak me out especially when there is a large crowd of them.  I’ve been pooped on by mass herds flying over head on more than one occasion and after about the second time that’s when I officially decided I hate birds!

7 ) I have a passion for Women’s Ministry and helping other women connect and feel a part of the body of Christ.  Especially the sisterhood of Christ!

8 ) I had a wreck when I was 15 and got to ride in an ambulance with a hot paramedic to the emergency room to get 20 stitches in my leg.  My parents got the phone call while they were at work and met me at the ER.  I’ll never forget them opening up the doors to the ambulance after they backed up to the ER and my Dad standing there crying (he didn’t know what had happened just that I was being brought to the ER) and I had the biggest smile on my face ever because I had just rode for 20 minutes with a hot paramedic taking care of me.  Oh, and did I mention that it was a bicycle wreck.  I was riding a bike and ran into my sister on her bike and we had a wreck and cut my leg wide open.  Pretty lame when you’re 15!!

9 ) I run into at least one wall or door frame in our house every day.  I swear they keep moving!

10 ) I am blessed.  I have the most amazing husband ever.  Three beautiful and loving children and one more on the way.  Wonderful parents and siblings.  A great extended family, church family and friends.  Many, many material blessings.  And above all this wonderfulness. . . I am a child of the KING!!
