Not Me . . .
Posted on May 4th, 2009.One of my most favorite blogs to read is My Charming Kids. Every Monday MckMama does a post called “Not Me! Monday.” You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. It’s just a simple list of things that I most certainly Did Not do (hear the sarcasm) this past week!
So here I go. . .
I did not pay my three year old three pennies (after he refused my initial offer of one penny) to end the battle over which shirt he would wear and bribe him to wear the one I picked out! Not me!
My tiny little London is such a princess and I’m having so much fun getting to do “girl things” with her. I have always been bothered by the ridiculous size of some of the bows I see on other tiny girls little heads. I always said I would NEVER do that. So it was definitely not me that placed this huge white bow the size of the state of Texas upon the head of my adorable little princess. Nope, not me!

I would never get in my husband’s face while he is peacefully sleeping snoring very loudly and make a very loud snoring sound back just to see what would happen. Not me!
I most certainly did not ask my children as we drove by if they would like to go play at our town’s cemetery just to see what they would say. Not me!
I did not eat a bag of cookies that had been left in the car for a week while waiting to pick up my son from school because I was that hungry even though they were stale, old and nasty. Definitely not me!
That was not me you heard saying “Good one” to my three year old after he told his brother “it smells like your breath tooted.” Oh no, not me!
I did not make a pot roast for lunch and tell the kids we were having Roast Beast. Not me!
Every time the kids came to me with a problem, fight, minor wound, etc. on Sunday I did not respond by busting out singing “Don’t speak. . .I know just what you’re saying. . . So please stop explaining. . .Don’t tell me cause it hurts . . . ” (by No Doubt). That is definitely something I would never do. Not me!
I love the home God has blessed us with and try really hard to take care of it, keep it picked up a walking path cleared, clean semi-clean and not let the kids destroy it. So of course that was not me who watched and took photos of my children as they practiced riding their skateboards in the house. Not me!

I try really hard to make sure our children are dressed in designer clothing decently and well, not look like homeless people. So I would never allow my two handsome princes to spend an entire day dressed like below just because they wanted to. That is sooo not me!

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Okay, best “Not Me!” I’ve read all day! Hilarious!
I LOVE your blog posts!
What!? My kids dress like that everyday! I figure that they will finally start matching when their peers finally are brave enough to point that out. Oh, wait! All their peers are dressed just like them! I never let my kids ride bikes or skate in the house! Ouch! Sorry, I tripped over Joseph’s tricycle. Wait! What’s that doing in the house?
That was so funny, thanks! I needed to laugh after reading all the prayer requests on My Charming Kids. I read yours and found your website. How is Baby Noah doing? I had a cousin many years ago, his baby was shaken at the babysitters. It was a terrible thing, and I hope that baby Noah is ok.
