Too much cuteness!!

Posted on June 7th, 2011.

Today Bill and the boys went to the Safari Park about an hour away from where we are.  They had an amazing time and LOVED seeing all the animals up close and personal!  There were Pandas, lots of Tigers, baby cheetas and even some Koalas!  Of course there were lots more animals but that’s all I can think of right now.  Oh and they even got to feed a giraffe.  I’m so glad they got to go!

While they were gone we had another girl’s day with the younger two, my Mom and cousin.  We shopped most of the day!  I had a migraine for a little bit but finally it got better.  We had a great time bartering for all sorts of things.  Apparently there is a school right behind our hotel and all the kids come out into the courtyard area right by us for P.E..  It was fun watching their version of P.E.  which included everyone dropping down into the splits on concrete!  I would definitely have failed P.E. if I had grown up here!

This evening before dinner our group met for pictures on the red couches at the other hotel. It’s a big tradition to take all the kids photos (as families and then all the kids together) on these special couches.  All of the kids dress in traditional Chinese clothing and it’s so precious.  Of course our Lilli looked like a porcelain doll!!!  She LOVED her dress!  She’s a little princess already!  Bill got quite a few good photos of her.  She loves the camera these days!  She wouldn’t be still so it was kind of hard to get a good photo of the detail of her dress but the one inside the dress is the most important anyway! :)

Here are some pics from the “red couch photo shoot”.  Our family picture is pretty much typical.  Everyone doing something random and Griffin is hiding.  Oh well, that’s our life! :)

Lilli wasn’t really feeling the group picture of all the kids.  That’s her in the bottom left corner on the cushion.  :)

And here’s one of our entire group with all the kids.

Last week when we got Lilli I noticed that she loves it when I kiss her but she didn’t really know how to give a kiss.  Sadly, she’s probably never had anyone to kiss so she didn’t even know how to give a kiss.  But, how quickly she learned!  Today she has been giving out the kisses like crazy.  It’s so precious.  And then she has the biggest smile on her face afterwards.

Tonight she and London kept kissing each other and then squealing.  It was so cute. Excuse the poor quality of the video but it was just too cute not to share!

Tomorrow is a big day!  It’s our Consulate Appointment and the date our entire trip was scheduled around.  This is where we go to the US Consulate to apply for Lilli’s Visa so we can bring her into the USA!!  Wohoo!  And that means we get to come home soon!  Yeah!!!  See you all soon!

  1. *tears* It makes my heart sad to think that a child would not be kissed and loved on during her first two years of life. It makes my heart all the more joyful that she is now apart of your family and will always be loved on and cherished.

  2. Glad some of you got to go to the safari park, that was one of our favorite outings! Also love the red couch pictures, our’s look just like them.

Lilli is such a cutie. She looks like such a happy little girl! I’m so glad you were able to take your entire family!

Have fun at the Consulate appt (it’s a bit anti-climatic). Take snacks, its a fair amount of sitting.

Can’t believe how fast your trip had gone. Can’t wait to hear you are all home safe and sound!
